Sadly, a there's a lot of wear on the gilt painting and some chips along the edges; there's a fairly substantial one on the upper left corner. But the pattern is still bright and the overall condition of the bowl is good:
Underneath is the stamp on the bowl stating that it was made specifically for the Michigan Central Railroad:
And if you look at the stamp from the other side it also lists Limoges as having been involved somewhere in it's production:
All in all, I don't know if it has any value other than sentimental, given the fact that it is a bit chipped and worn. It sat on the kitchen buffet table and had stuff piled on it for a good 50 years, I expect, before it was given to me. But it's not like I'd consider selling it anyway.
